Servant
Manor’s Programming represents a collaborative effort on the part of
numerous agencies including Milwaukee County ,
the Milwaukee County Juvenile
Justice System, the Milwaukee County Wraparound Program, Shaolin Boxing Methods,
Milwaukee Public Schools and several religious organizations. Each partner plays an important role in care delivery from youth
placement and education to counseling and support.
Our program offerings are provided on a daily,
ongoing basis and are designed to achieve the following goals:
1) Re-unite families
by empowering individuals to make healthy life choices;
2) Supplement necessary
academic, physical and spiritual activities on a daily basis;
3) Increase
family and individual economic vitality by providing education,
alternative education and career centered counseling opportunities;
4) Improve the quality
of neighborhood life, through reducing crime and fostering a respect for one’s environment.
The
“D.R.I.V.E” Program for Young Men & Women (Treatment Family Care)
Servant Manor’s
“D.R.I.V.E.” program - Delinquency Reduction thru Innovative Vocational Education, is a behavioral treatment program
designed to reduce delinquent behavior. Youth receive exposure and intensive programming designed to empower
them with the necessary tools and decision making skills required to develop a healthy conscious, reduce criminal thinking
and succeed in life.
D.R.I.V.E. program participants receive specialized attention in the
areas of: Physical and Mental Health, Spiritual Development, Education and Social Development.
- Individual
and Group Counseling
- Daily structured physical activity (including Kung-Fu or Tai Chi) (2hrs per day/5 days per week)
- Daily academic
support (tutoring and/or alternative instruction for suspended youth) (2-5hrs per day)
- Weekly mentoring session (1hr per
week/per resident)
- Group mentor activity (3hrs per month)
- Weekly opportunity to participate in worship services
or community service (1hr per week)
- Weekly social activity (3hrs per week)
- Daily meal services, laundry and transportation
- Vocational and
social skills training
Specialized Treatment Programming (Adjudicated Youth)
Our specialized treatment programming program
provides basic oversight, supervision and treatment assistance in an residential setting for young men on a 24 hour daily
basis. Residents receive individual and group counseling, family counseling, and special ATODA treatment
as necessary. This program primarily serves youth referred through Delinquency & Court Services.
Features include:
- Counseling by Servant Manor social worker (1hr per week/per resident)
- Group counseling session (1hr
per week/per resident)
- Family counseling (1hr every two weeks)
- Daily meal service, laundry and transportation
- ATODA treatment
Short Term and Respite Care Program
The Servant Manor’s Short Term, Respite Care or “Crisis” Care program
is designed to provide short term or emergency care needs for young men and women. Our Short Term and Respite
Care program provides basic oversight and supervision on a 24 hour basis for periods of less than one month.
